Oil and Glamour is the theme of the fashion show scheduled for Eket, an oil producing area of Akwa Ibom State. The petroleum sector forms the basis of this city’s contribution to Nigeria’s national economy while providing the oil that lubricates the wheel of Glamour in the country.
In the face of the gloomy strife eating up communities of the Niger-Delta, Oil and Glamour will be a showcase of bright ideas; fashion made from primary colours and brilliant hues based on the reforms in Nigeria, in relation to the petroleum market – for the restoration of genuine peace.
This will be brought to reality in the creative display of colours and radiant tones; all set to fuel the audience with enthusiasm, showing that the utilization of revenue gleaned from the oil sector can bring the much needed respite for the people of the Niger-Delta.
The show will feature 5 designers showcasing a collection of 20 haute couture pieces each.
